Well, both my ipod and camera have nice little hard protective covers, so making a cozy for them seemed unessecary.  However, my brand new phone Zelda (who I figure qualifies for this category because she plays mp3s Tongue) needed some protection, so I made her a cozy!

It's very simple as it's my first non-scarf project, but I'm pretty proud Smiley
It's pretty much your basic sock-style cozy with a permenant fold over at the top

there's a little bit of twisted stitching where I sewed up a little hole I failed to fix... but it's much less noticable in person ;P

Everyone's cozies look so nice, I was inspired to knit one after getting a Creative Zen nano plus for my birthday. This mp3 player is tiny, about 1.5" by 2.5" or so. Two issues that I recommend considering before starting this project (and two of my friends have already begged me to make them for their ipods): 1. I couldn't do a buttonhole, so I made a little loop for the button. 2. Hole or opening for earphones -next time I would make a hole in the top flap of the cozy - in this current design, the flap has to be open to plug in the earphones. Anyone have creative solutions for connections?

It was so fun to make this!

It's made for an iPod but my phone is in there to keep its shape.
Used:
Leftover Bernat Lovebug yarn in bettle blue (discontinued) using size 2 straight needles in a 2 x 2 rib, just like the other cozy above!

Wow, after going through ALL 41 pages of this thred, it has been some great eye candy!!!

At the moment, I only have 3 non knitting ipod cases. But I can only use one. The first two were made out of some faux leather. I really only used the first one, the seccond was more to prove that I could make a case that looked exactly like a $50 case I saw online. Then I got my fancy isee nano case and they did not fit over that. So tonight, with a crafting urge, I made a cover for my ipod that fits over the isee case. It is basically like the starburst ipod case, I put tape upside down and put stuff cut out from my teen vogue magazines on it. I really like it, an it was fun. And it slips off easily so i don't have to use it all the time.

As you can see, I heart my nano

And here is a close up:

At the moment I am knitting the icord headphone sleve for one of my two pairs of apple earbuds, and when they are done I am hoping to make a matching cozy. However, if there is not enough yarn left over, I will use some other yarn from my stash that goes with the sock yarn to make a cozy. I have so many ideas that I have been brain storming since I decided to get an ipod in novemeber. My favorit was inspired by a local radio contest. Three peas in a pod, ipod cozy. When the Black Eyed Peas had a concert here there was a contest to win tickets to the show and an ipod loaded with Black Eyed Peas music. I thoght, hey, what about an ipod cozy with a pea pod?? Yeah..... I'm a dork Cheesy

P.S. I REALLY hope there is a fourth round of mp3 player cozy swap. I would love to participate!!!!

Hmm not sure if I'm answering this question right cos I don't think I understand it, I need sleep!   Cheesy
2.25mm needles are size 1 US equivelent needle size, and DPNS is double pointed needles, so basically I knit it in the round.
Hope that helps... Huh
