So many cute cozies!  I've done a couple for myself and friends but now I'm going to have to felt one!  Yay, maybe I'll use the yarn I'll dye with kool-aide!  I'm just begining with felting, but I love the look of it.  So many projects so little time!  Good thing this is a fast project!  Wink

Wow. I just lost my nice leather case for my Dell digital jukebox.  Cry, but on the bright side, now I get to knit a new one for it! Happiness! I also love the SquiPod. I am obessed with penguins. Maybe I can figure out a way to knit the penguin body for the holder and have the head and little beak as the flap.... and the ideas just flow to me when I'm on this site!!!

Thanks for the inspiration everyone!

Nobody knows where the enemy is. They don't even know he exists. He's in every one of their heads. And they trust him because they think they are him. If you try to destroy him to save them, they'll destroy you to save him. The greatest con he ever pulled was making you believe that he is you.

Here's one I just finished for a friend of mine -

And here's the pattern!  It's the first one I have ever written.

You will need:
Double knitting yarn oddments in dark green and lime
3.25mm needles
4mm double pointed needles
a fancy button

Gauge - 15 rows/11st = 4cm in stocking stitch.

Cast on 24 stitches in lime green.
Knit 10 rows in K2P2 rib.
Change to dark green - knit 6 rows stocking stitch ending purl row.
Begin pattern. (X = lime green).

Knit 23 rows straight stocking stitch in dark green ending purl row.
Work pattern again in reverse.
Knit 6 rows stocking stitch in dark green.
Change to lime green, purl one row. Work 9 rows P2K2 rib. Cast off in rib. Weave in ends.
To make fastening, cast on 3st on double pointed needles. Knit 10cm of i-cord.
Seam up sides with mattress stitch. Attach i-cord to back side of cast off edge.
Fix button to front. It will help if you position the button while iPod is inside, for best fit.

Today I purchased an iRiver mp3 player AND several balls of Berroco Plush Colors in Tie Dye. The mp3 player is shaped like a toblerone (a long triangle), so knitting it a cozy should be... interesting!

I promise to post the results!

I whipped up a little cozy for my friend's new iPod this afternoon, using some ribbon yarn left over from another project. It's a super-simple design... I did stockinette stitch, but did a purl row instead of a knit row wherever the fabric was to bend --- it gives it a nice sharp edge. There's a wee eyelet hole in the top, for the earphone cord. The front flap buttons up or down for easy access to the controls. I do so love projects that can be measured in minutes or hours instead of days or weeks!

Hi...This is my first post. In a fit of procrastination when finishing my MA thesis last week, I finally got around to teaching myself how to knit. Other than a deformed little cat toy, this is my first completed project. It's also a little deformed, but this time I wanted it that way! I'm thinking of calling him IPutz.

I made these sooo long ago but wanted to post them anyways (i just got a new camera and figured out how to post them:D )

This is the first cozy I made to protect my ipod before my bright green silicone iskin arrived:

(as it were, this is also a-my first finished knitted project ever  b-my first felted item)

This is the new rainbow cozy/bag I knitted up:

Those are all my accessories and my iskin as it looks when it is off my ipod- i would definitely recommend them for extra scratch protection if you're still a little wary of socks and cozies as your only protection. The bag is all rainbow colored and the iskin is bright green because I named my ipod Patty O'Green- as in the colorkid from Rainbow Brite. I know, I know, dork party of one, your table is now being served... but I don't even care  Grin
