Wow drotarki I made an ipod cozy that looks exactly the same, except in navy blue.  Unfortunately it almost broke my boyfriends ipod, because the combination of the dark colour and the thick wool in the San Fran sun caused it to overheat!  Ooops!

I finally got around to making a wee cozy for my iPod (three years after getting it! Procastinate much?).

It's a a tube in simple 2x2 rib, seamed at the bottom. Nothing fancy, but it helps use up odds and ends of yarn. Knit up in a few minutes on my standard-gauge knitting machine with less than half a skein of Socka Stahl sock yarn.

Now I have the urge to make little cozies for all my electronics.  Cheesy

I've been wanting to knit a thing for my iPod, but have been putting it off because I didn't really know what to do.   I've got lots of ideas now!  Great job everyone  Smiley

so here is my effort...

i wanted it to look like my ipod was wearing a sweater and i think i've pulled it off. what do you think? its a bit bigger than my ipod cos i needed it to fit over my silicon case but it doesn't need a fastener cos the silicon grips the yarn. cool eh?

heres my version i made long time ago:

Pattern: my own

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft blue mint.

Approx Completion Time: a week?

Comments: This was made for my brother's ipod. Its not very functional because its not snug enough, probably because of the blocking i did on the holes. I knit this on US4 dpns knitting back and forth to shape the openings and then casting on again to connect the round. The button loops are icords. If i were to attempt this again, id make it smaller. I jus dont know if a knitted ipod case would ever be functional. I think its easier to just buy one made out of leather/plastic/rubber/vinyl. theres plenty out there.

of course, knitted cozies are ok, but isnt it kind of a hassle to put it in and take out all the time?

personally i do not know the needs of an ipod user because i dont have one. ^^;
