So I said I'd make a cozy... here's one I knit up today. It has strings you tie at the top to keep it inside. (the pictures are slightly bright, I apologize :O)

Here it is just layin' there.

And here's with Aristotle (my iPod) inside.

And now with Aristotle inside, and the strings tied.

I made it from some sort of yarn by Yarn bee, i think, but I can't remember what exactly it's called. I knit it on size 4 (or 6... dunno Tongue) dpns and then used the three-needle bind off to close it... very easy to make and it keeps mi Aristotle all cozy and safe!

Could someone please post a link to the thread about knitting ipod cord cosy's. I've tried to search for it, but the search feature doesn't seem to like me. *aaarrrrggghh, pulling hair out*.

Thanks.

I love all of the ipod cozies I see around.  I finally got an ipod and realized they are both cute and practical to have.   I knitting up a cozy for a friend of mine last year, but I don't think he ever uses it Sad  Anyways, I think it's high time I make one for myself, I really like the idea of a the felted one, it seems more sturdy (and cute & fuzzy)!

I've been reading this thread for a while, looking for ideas for the cozies... and got some great ideas... I'm very new at knitting and my first project was a cozy... made it without pattern or anything... so might not be so well shaped as I would want it...

Here are some pics of the my cozy...

He's actually a kind of accident. He was going to be all stripey witht he gray and purple... but I started running out of the gray too fast (scraps), and after I did the first round of purple, I realized he was getting too fat, and didn't want to frog, so I did some backstitching, and made it into a brim for his hat that you can flip up and down.
I started with a magic circle, with 6 sc. Before I closed it, I slid the detatched end of his cord (stolen from an old camera), so my mp3 player is permanently inside the squid. Didn't want to have it fall out if I forgot to seal the bottom. Body and hat are a mix of hdc and dc. Loopy's for the drawstring to go through were tc's mixed with sc to fasten them down inside. Tentacles are all sc, feeders (aka drawstring) were hdc. Face was (poorly) satin stitched when done.

So back in December I was inspired by all the cozies on here and decided to make one for myself. It was the second thing I've ever knit (the first being a regular knit-stitch gryffindor scarf).

I first made it close with a cord:
Three photos are posted here: http://theknitster.blogspot.com/2007/01/icozy.html

Today I changed the cord to a button and I think it looks better.
