What Natashafatale said. Cheesy

I'd cast off on the needle the number of times I want it long? or do I knit after the first cast off. Huh

Do you mean cast on?? 'Cause if so, then yup, you'd cast on as many stitches as needed for the length of the iPod + the extra bit for the ears, and then knit until it's long enough to wrap around the iPod.

Now I feel like tossing aside my Christmas knitting and maybe knitting this with you. :3

I just wanted to thank you guys for this thread.  It meant that when my husband came home with an iPod the other day, I knew exactly what to do.  I don't yet have any pictures of our bright green case, but it does its job.  I hope to make a fancier one in future.

thank you!  i just freehand embroidered it onto to case after i sewed it...if i make another tho' i would emboider my exterior fabric before sewing it to the lining...that way it doesnt have the stitches on the inside...
it only took me about a half an hour to make the whole thing!

I'm so proud of myself.  After getting an iPod nano for Christmas, I thought that it was only right for me to take a break on my winter apparel. This Cozie the first thing I've ever knitted that wasn't a scarf or a hat. So.... here it is. My first real project and my first real post!

The hardest part about this was putting the hole in for my earbuds. In the end, I guessed and it just worked!  Smiley

This thread inspired me to make a cozy for a friend of mine, so far I've had to rip it out twice because I kept changing my mind on the colour/pattern >_<

All of yours look lovely, I just hope mine turns out good.
