Not sure what else to call this. Our apartment is part of an Inn/B&B, and our door is rather indistinguishable from the rest of the building's various doors. To make the point that we're not part of the Inn and make it easier for guests to find us, I did a little shopping at the dollar store (my favorite place in the whole world) and got a black painted wooden 8x10 frame. I went for a walk around the property for some dried sticks and leaves, and pressed the leaves overnight in an old textbook. Some handy work with the glue gun this morning and some quick painting on some cardboard from last night's beer run I have a door plaque!

It doesn't look like it matches anything from the pictures, but we have tons of plants and trees around, and it actually fits in quite well.

P.S. Excuse the mess! We've had storm showers all week and thus everything ended up near the door/under the porch above us. Next project will probably be a crocheted 'plarn' welcome mat.

That's really cute! It makes me really want a sign that says my apt #, since I'm pretty sure it doesn't say it anywhere!!

This is so cute!  Way to go using what you have to make something original.
