So my friend has this neat little bean bag thing that he can mount his camera to and use basically anything as a decent tripod.  So, he asked me to sew him something so he could strap the beanbag down to stuff.  And thus the bean bag tripod cozy was born.  It's made of strong outdoor material and straps; super proud of getting all that to go through the sewing machine.  I put some of those things you have on your backpack to adjust the length of the straps on there too.

And now, pictures.

First here's the bean bag tripod on the left and the cozy I made on the right.  This shot looks like a bra to me, hehe:



And now a shot of the bean bag tripod modeling the cozy, looking all tentacle like:



And finally a pic of the cozy alone with the straps stuffed inside:

That's pretty cool!  Maybe yo can add a flap and velcro closure so he can also carry the bean bag tripod around in the cozy as well!

I need me one of them....  Got the IS, but find I'm still a bit crookedy in my shots...
