my desk at work is SO boring and SO dull.
i needed something to perk it up and give it a little of my personality.
i had a bag of beads i got from walmart for 5 bucks.. (because for some reason i cant resist colorful and sparkley things) and a hot glue gun.
so, i mean it was a no brainer.
make a pencil thingy, duh.

I think its awesomely cool.  I would put that right by my phone so everyone saw it.  What did you use for a mold?

not a single thing.. just good ol' eyeballin it.
i glued on each individual one so they fit like a puzzle.
i love how random it is.

my initial idea was to actually melt it.. but then it risked collapsing because i didnt really have anything to melt it with... and that would make me sad.
so gluing it was my second choice. Smiley

So cool! An infinite amount of colors and an awesome texture does one brilliant pencil holder make.

when I first saw it, I automatically thought of melting, but you're right, it would be hard to get it/ keep it in that shape if you had melted it! It's hard to make tall skinny things with melting, short wide things are much easier!

I think my fingers would be melted in with the beads if I tried that, but I love it!
