Hey all my name is Pam I have been dyeing for years and have found new passion for dyeing with Shaving cream
Here are some of my fave projects from the last couple weeks.
Turquoise and truffle on organic bamboo velour

Swimmy swirl on cotton lycra

Carnivale on organic bamboo velour

Iris Garden on Organic Bamboo velour

Just wondering who else dyes cotton? I stink at acid dyes and wool

These are really pretty.
I have never heard of dyeing with shaving cream.  I'll have to check that out.

There are instructions on how to dye with shaving cream on Dharma Trading Company's website here:

I use this technique too.  I didn't use a white base, I just swirled all the colors and got some great effects.  I can't wait to do some more.

I saw this technique a while back and would like to try it on a chiffon scarf to see how that works.  I just need to buy another tin of shave cream as I know I will get in trouble if I use all of my husbands!

Thanks for sharing your photos.
