i love crocheting in the round. everything is even, you can make the same pattern to any size that you want. i figured out how to do a star!!

it is done with a I hook, 10 skeins of homespun yarn, 8 of the dark blue and 2 of the light blue. the color pattern is 4 rows of dark blue and 1 row of light. the color of the dark blue looks rather variegated because i bought a few skeins for one project i never finished, when i decided to do the star i needed more dark blue. when i got more home i realized the colors were slightly different, so i took advantage of it. i like the way it looks. my dog, riley, seems to like it too; because as soon as i laid it on the floor to take the pics, he was on it all curled up.

Very neat.  This could be a great thing to adapt into pillows, maybe even a shawl if you open the center.

ok, so, i couldn't figure out the best way to measure it. so from the middle to the point it is 40"  it wraps around me nicely. my honey needs a smallish blanket for his place so i think i am going to give it to him... in other words i want to have a lap blanket at his place.
