I spun this yarn back in November and never could think of anything to knit with it, so when i saw the pattern for Cluaranach from Knit Spot, I had to make it.  I didn't have enough yarn for the wrap so I made a scarf, but added four extra pattern repeats to make it extra long and snuggly.  It ended up being about six feet long and eight inches wide.

And here's a close up:

I ended up with quite a bit of yarn leftover so I used it to make the Wine and Roses Mitts from the Winter 2006 issue of Interweave Knits.  I love these.

Both projects took less than 500yds of fingering weight yarn, but I only had a couple feet left when I was done!

These are both great!  I love the lace pattern of the scarf, and the pattern on the gloves.  And it's great how the variegations in colour work with the patterns.  I'm in love.   Wink

Gorgeous! Purple is my favourite colour and I especially love the shades of the yarn you used.
