Details of swap:
Ever imagine Cinderella as a vampire? Or want to see a punked out Red Riding Hood? Or maybe you picture Snow White as a mermaid that travels through space in a water-ship? In this swap you will be choosing three fairy tales/characters that you would like your partner to alter in some way based on three themes you give them. There are many crafting possibilities for this including; wall art, clothing, jewelry, story book making, and card making, as well as many others. This is a swap for the imagination!
There are countless stories out there to choose from. Some more obvious choices are; Disney, Grimm, Mother Goose, and Aesop, but you can also choose from the wide variety of myths and lesser known stories. Please include a link or description for your partner if you chose a lesser known story/character.
You can turn something dark into something light, something old into something new. Some more theme ideas and crafting ideas for this swap can be found in the discussion thread
We will be crafting 5-7 points using the following system (you do the math):
Small = 1 point
Medium = 2 points
Large = 3 points
Craftster guidelines for the sizes:
Small = By time, 2 or less hours of crafting. By $$$, $10 or less. By size, Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks…
Medium = By time, 2 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $10-$30. By size, one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf…
Large = By time, 3 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $30 or more. By size, A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse…
When you send be sure to get delivery confirmation and PM the number to me and your partner. When you receive also PM me and your partner and post pictures in the gallery. If you will not be able to take pictures arrange for your partner to take pictures before they send.
Since this swap has a long crafting time I will require everyone check in with me either by PM or on the swap thread. The craft time is longer because you might need to do some research and school will be starting for some of you. You must check in every two weeks at least! I will be keeping track and “poor communication” will be left in your feedback if you do not update me on your progress.
Please think carefully before you chose your tales/characters and themes, if you have a beloved character that you do not want to have altered with one of your themes please do not list it (or list at your own risk).
