I started working on this sometime during the spring but got busy and forgot all about it.  Eventually I saw this superbly executed swim costume and was inspired to finish: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249831.0

Here are some pictures of the suit in action:

Front (excuse the expression and posture  Grin)

Back - this is actually the best shot I have of the back...My sister was trying to take pictures but I just couldn't hold still  Tongue

This was my original inspiration:

I made up my own pattern as I went along as I was too cheap to spend $20 on a pattern.
All in all I'm very pleased with how my suit turned out.

Ahhh... this is so beautiful, and it is so rare to see one of those. You did it wonderfully, hard to believe you worked without a pattern.
Did you try to swim in this costume, too? I have always wondered how that would feel... I suppose they are better suited for walking than swimming, but I don't know!

Thank you so much, Draqi!
No I didn't go swimming in it; the beach we went to was much too cold and windy, so I guess I'll have to wait and try it out at the public pool XD.

We all make mistakes, and then when you've made enough, they call it experience.

That looks great! I want to do a full suit like that one day, it would be so fun to walk down the beach all dressed up like that.
