Ever since Hancocks closed down, Waco has been woefully short on fabric stores. There's apparently one my sister mentioned that is on Valley Mills Dr now, across the street from the Wendy's and I'm wondering if anyone has checked it out? Any suggestions on fabric suppliers in nearby towns- Killeen or Temple, maybe?

Actually, I'm kind of wondering if there is any one else from Waco even on these boards?  lol.  Roll Eyes   Wink

If there does happen to be any other Wacoans- Hello! Nice to meet you!  Grin

Hello from Central Texas,
I'm not in Waco but am just about 35 or 40 miles from Waco.
I go to Jo Anns alot and I also go to Tomorrows Quilt shop. The Bernina store has a little bit of fabric and of course Hobby Lobby has a little bit of fabric...not as much as they used to though. I didn't know about the store across from Wendys.
In Temple there is a Hancock store that hasn't closed yet.

**squeals**  Hi, Cindy from Texas!! LOL- I'm just so happy to meet a Craftster that live so nearby.  Roll Eyes  Grin

Yeah, those are about the only places I go, too. WalMart (Hewitt and Bellmead, anyway) still has a little craft section as well, but again with the slim pickings. JoAnn's does seem to be the best option locally.

Hhmm- still a Hancocks in Temple, eh? Roadtrip!!
