The 2008 Annual Garden Art Show at McMenamins Edgefield is July 22 & 23; 1 - 8 pm. The show features more than 70 talented artists spread throughout the beautiful grounds of historic Edgefield.

Rooted in Portland, Oregon, Cracked Pots sprouted in 1998... [and] are deeply committed to sustainable living and to reclaiming items headed to landfills by transforming them into whacky and wondrous works of garden ornamentation.

Many more Cracked Pots have since joined this nonprofit organization, collaborating with other groups in a ceaseless dedication to build stronger communities through grassroots, sustainable art projects. We exhibit the work of over 80 Northwest artists who are committed to making provocative art for the garden from recycled, reclaimed and reworked material.

It's pretty cool!  It's a juried show so everything is of a certain quality.  I guess it's Edgefield's 2 biggest days of the year.  A dear friend of mine is on the Board of Directors, so I'll go one of the days, but I'm not an artist selling work there.  She keeps handing me the form, but I just can't wrap my creative mind around garden & patio art.

They're trying to put together a winter show/sale that's not just for garden and patio, too!
