I did this for my first swap: the Hippy Swap Round 2. It's made of Sculpey, which I painted and varnished. I was inspired by the song "Incense and Peppermints" by Strawberry Alarmclock.

Another shot of the incense burner--groovy, man!

Tell me what you think!

I am always open to personal swaps...I'm always on the lookout for new bags, shawls, punk/steampunk accessories, Altoids tins, etc. As a professional illustrator/fine artist, I can offer something crafty, or something more artsy. Let's talk!

Those are adorable!  It's amazing what all of you can do with sculpey.  I am searching for excuses to go buy some just to try it out!

Sculpey is one of those things that, once you start using it and keeping it around the house, you'll always find something to make of it. It's totally worth the money, esp. cuz it doesn't dry out, so you know it'll be good when you go to use it.

First, great image pun on the song title!  I like the way you've "stacked" the mints and the one leaning against the others too design-wise.

P.S.  If you ever want to make starlight mints like these as a polymer clay cane (instead of painting each one), there are several lessons and examples here:

(... click on Caned Candies, under "Candies & Sweets"...)
...I've wanted to make a bunch of mints to string together as a garland for a miniature xmas tree ever since I made some for decorating a polymer gingerbread house long ago, ... think they'd be cute; maybe this'll give me a poke in the rear...lol

That looks great! I have never had success with clay. One suggestion, if you were to burn incense in this the ash would fall onto the table which could be fire hazard. Also, I'm not sure if varnish is suggested for projects like this. Chances of flying ashes are slim but be careful and keep that in mind for your next project. Again, cute design and idea.
