WARNING-- PIC INTENSE! Cheesy

So this can't quite count as crafting since I wasn't actually responsible for the making of any of these lovely finds, but lately I've been on a huge vintage kick (as many of you are, I'm sure!), and while my mom was setting up for her garage sale today, I nabbed these treasures (all my grandmother's) from amongst the mess!

The bottles are all vintage Avon (they definetly don't make 'em like this anymore!)

My favorite! You push the bird's head and the perfume comes out from it's beak!

Frog prince...

A teensy glass strawberry (the silver leaf unscrews)...

Grandfather clock perfume!

Yes, it's what you're thinking- they're lamps! Well, they look like it  Wink... the one on the right has scented powder in the base and perfume on top!

And now the 'manly' bottles, starting with.... cars!

A level bottle! You know, the handy tool you use to make sure a picture hangs even? The cologne sloshes through the clear part when you move it-- how cool is that??

Kind of dark, but yes, it is indeed a hammer (check out the box and name, haha)! The hammer part comes off...

A moose?!  Shocked

And finally, the end-all of perfume bottle weirdness, the Liberty Bell!

I have some fab vintage cards and figurines I found too that'll I put in a seperate post-- don't want to bog down the boards!  Smiley

I can't believe your mother was going to sell them!  Good steal!  I especially like the moose, well, because it's just friggin awesome.   Grin  The blue bird one is really pretty too!

My reaction exactly! I pretty much cleared her out, haha-- I actually went in the house and brought out some of my old junk I had been meaning to get rid of just to fill up all the blank table space (thanks to moi!) The moose is so cool in a really bizarre way, haha  Cheesy

Aww!  My grandma used to collect these!  She would have loved a collection like that. (I love the bird one and the Alice in Wonderland mushroom!)
Thanks for bringing back some memories!

Thanks so much for sharing with us! I happen to live in the town where Avon has their R&D center and for a long time, we  had the manufacturing site as well...fond memories of relatives working for Avon come to mind...

Wow! Super cool! I love cruising the Antique Mall in our City (2 stories! 80 different vendors!) I'm always looking for vintage perfume labels on pinterest that are free to use because I recently fell in love with making 1:12 scale miniatures and am planning to make miniature perfume and toiletry items. Thanks for sharing these fabulous pics. Kiss
