Ok, now I have to find the Farmhouse cookery book.  I've been reading the RD book called Homemade, and I've decided that I need to own it.

http://www.amazon.com/Readers-Digest-Complete-Guide-Needlework/dp/0888500858  Here is another one to look out for.  I've owned it for 20+ years but I know I've seen is at thrift stores and garage sales.  I also had one in the same style for home repair that was excellent.  Unfortunately I lent it out and it has never been returned.  Embarrassed

I have this book too and love it. I will have to keep an eye out for the craft & hobbies one.

I have this book, too!  But I'd forgotten, so thank you for the reminder to pull it out and actually look at it. Smiley

I have this book! I found it at a garage sale for $1! It's amazingly useful!
I also have Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing from 1976 and Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Needlework from 1979, both of which were also bought at another garage sale (these two at the same sale) for $1 each! Both of these are also immensely useful and I've recently taught myself embroidery using the Needlework book!  Cheesy
