just so you guys can get a feel for how long this swap has taken in chicken time...

I got the chicks two days before we were assigned our swap partners. Back then they were tiny little fuzzybutts. Here they are yesterday, almost a month later:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW they're so cute!  I had chickens when we lived in Mississippi, they were named "Death, Famine, Pestilence, And The Other One" (A quote from a Monty Python skit referring to the 4 horsemen).

I wish we could have them here but the neighborhood is one of those snooty "Holier than thou" communities that think they fart febreeze.  Nevermind that we live in the middle of a CORNFIELD in rural Wisconsin.....  Wouldn't want a few chickens to mess up this lovely neighborhood....  I miss my guineas too.

My package is somewhere in the US now and it won't tell me where (BOOOOOOOO!)

Hope it gets here soon!

Anyone else taking part in anything fabu?

Weelllll....

-I am almost a swap angel. We are waiting to see if the flaker is actually a flaker, or just out of the loop.
-I'm signing up for the Book Swap *hopefully* if I get feedback in time. If not, the organizer says she might be able to extend the sign-up date, but I don't know how I feel about that. I don't want the other members disappointed.
- And I'm building a desk, and this ---> http://www.elseware.to/products/mazellaneous.htm for my bedroom.
- I'm also redecorating said bedroom. New room includes a loft bed, where the underneath is entirely dedicated to craftttssss.

I am so glad to hear you are doing up your room jdb822 - that fits so well with stuff I have sent you in this swap!!!  Just in case you were keeping yourself busy doing other thigs so you didn't think about what was coming your way... now I can make you think about what might be in the package!

I checked out that bookshelf you're making also - I hope you post up pics when you are done!  It's such a cool idea!  I'm also curious to see your loft bed with dedicated crafty area...

It's only been 3 days since I sent yours and they said "4-6 days" til delivery, so we're getting closer!

OMG that is so cool!  I love it!  I want to make one!  I might be able to swing something like that with scrap wood we have in the basement...hmmmmmm

By all means please post pics when you're done!
