This is my daughters FIRST (not last) super hero costume! She loooves playing super hero, so its perfect.  My friend gave me a bunch of scraps from a dress she made for some ones prom dress (wowza!). I think this is my all time favorite project.  I just used my usual party dress pattern (newlook 6688), and a snap on cape.  I had the double up on the skirt fabric because the silver was so thin.  I also sewed 2 strips of ribbon together to make is super flashy  Grin

My husbands grandfathers birthday is this weekend, its gonna be big time (70 people) Im really tempted to let her wear it... we will see...

Soooo you looove it??? I DO I DO! I think my husband and i should have matching ones.

Shield your eyes!!!

She is working on her super moves!

That is adorable!  My 3 girls love to play superhero too.  I think the two older ones would pretend they're too old for this, but in actuality they'd be jealous if I made the 4 year old one of these.  Too cute!!

This is great! What a wonderful way to foster your child's imagination! Keep up the good Mommy business and let her wear it to the party!

So perfect. Your daughter will never forget this one. It's an heirloom in the making!

May our efforts reflect our values.
May the variety in life bring us joy.
May we seek to inspire not compete.
May we have happy hearts.

So cute !!  I just love this dress pattern.  Do you think it would be easy to adjust this pattern to older sizes ? My girls are 5 and 9 already.

This is, without a doubt, the most PERFECT birthday party dress ever.  You must let her wear it.  Great job.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

(And thanks a ton for the Super Martian Robot Girl song I've got in my head now... YEAH!)
