So anyways, last year I was in the hardware store with my dad, and as usual I was wandering around the aisles looking for any weird stuff I could find that could possibly have other uses...When I came to the washers.  For some strange reason I love washers!  Strange.  Anyways, I was reminded of some earrings that I had seen on the GirlShop website that I had really liked.  So as a true craftster, I decided to make them myslef.  And for about 150$ cheaper!

So here they are.  I call them my disco earrings...

I bought six washers and then asked my dad to drill the holes in them for me.  (I can just see it, if I tried drilling through metal myself.....let's just say it would be ugly and the drill would kick my butt!).  Then I just used jump rings to attach them together.

I absolutely love these things!  The only problem is that they are EXTREMELY heavy.  It took some practice wearing them before I could actually go out with them.  (Think of them like a new pair of heels you have to break in before you wear them...)  I can wear them out for an evening, but definitely not an everyday earring.

...Just thought I would share.  Hope you like!

Thank you!

This is the first project of mine that I've posted, so you know how that's always a little nerve-racking...

Well, it's not like I wear them very often...LOL

I am actually in the process of making a matching neckalace and bracelet.  I'm just waiting for my dad to have time to drill the washers.  At least these will be more wearable...
