I know this has been a long wait but here it is.
Clarity was kind enough to be my swap angel and she did a beautiful job!
Here's the first one:
She made a beautiful Victorian inspired pearl choker with just the yummiest dangles and a wonderful bracelet to match (which I haven't taken off)
The second was a very cool, pyrate inspired choker. It has a dangle that looks like a boat helm and the other dangles have stars at the ends. Its hard to see in the picture but there are gold sequins on the black band that kinda make a bow pattern. (I don't take very good pictures, sorry)
And then she sent a little extra that the DH and I were so excited about! After much researching on Clarity's part she created me my very own letter of Marque!
Complete with a wax seal!
For those of you that don't know, in Ye olde pyrate days it was not unusual for a king/queen or someone of influence to give a pyrate a letter of Marque that allowed them to "pyrate". So long as they gave a portion of their booty to the said contractor.
They were no longer pyrates but Privateers in "legitimate employ". One famous example is Sir Francis Drake, who was a privateer on behalf of England and solely attacked Spanish ships.
So now I am a privateer in the employ of Their Excellencies of the Captain's Council free to attack and acquire all that I deem Enemies of the Council and Her Grace, The Lady of the Open Water.
I can't wait to show my letter off at the next renfaire , and I shall frame it as soon as I find a frame worthy of such contents.
