So I received today, from Fleur_delicious!

When I was reading the letter, she told me that "...it turned out a bit bigger than i'd expected! - even if it is a bit crazy/big for everyday wear." I was honestly a little terrified!

But then I open the package and it's SOOO not what I expected, and I LOVEEEE it! Plus, she sent me a delicious chocolate bar along with it...and the entire necklace smells like chocolate!

I immediately got my sister to take some pics, not caring about the lack of make-up or sweaty work appearance. This thing was WAY too good to wait! Sadly, the camera died, and until I get some new batteries, these were the only pics I got.


beautiful, chocolate smelling cutouts (vinyl??) There are little bats too! I freakin LOVE bats!!

So needless to say, even though I didn't get the best pics... that this is BY FAR, the most intricate/interesting necklace I own, and I LOVE loVE LOVVVEEE it! I'm wearing it out tonight! With a realllyy simple dress or top

I love all the little details, all the beads and things. You'd have thought just the cutouts would be enough and it'd be too busy, but all the little sparkles work just perfectly.

What's it made of? Is it soft or has it been shaped to fit the neck somehow?

ok, WHEW I'm so glad you like it! I was worried that it would be too weird or out there or...you know, whatever. anxiety =) (and thanks, everyone!)

It's actually made of leather. I cut all the pieces and then painted them with a couple coats of resin, because I wanted to stiffen the leather. I realized later that I'd basically "made" vinyl and kinda kicked myself for that. =)

so yes, it's flexible/shapes/bends a little, but it's also stiffer than just plain leather. I really did make vinyl. Still feeling silly about that ...
