WOW! All I can say is 'Wow!'

I love the action shot...you can go without makeup while wearing that choker and get away with it!

Thanks for the comps girls, I am excited to see coldbrains4's choker soon. I shall try and do a montage of all the final results together as they were so original and pretty.

That's because no one would look at my face but at my lovely choker  Wink

My boyfriend likes it too. He says that it is sooo "me". So thank you, Clarity.

Welcome, that is so nice of you but I couldn't have done without advice/pattern from friends, this is my first and last crochet effort I think, so I'm so glad it went to you Smiley

Hi all,

The talented and generous Anya Kase has a new partner / swap angel. She should hopefully send her choker by tomorrow or Saturday, which means keep your eyes peeled for the last addition next week. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I know this has been a long wait but here it is.

Clarity was kind enough to be my swap angel and she did a beautiful job!

Here's the first one:

She made a beautiful Victorian inspired pearl choker with just the yummiest dangles and a wonderful bracelet to match (which I haven't taken off) Grin

The second was a very cool, pyrate inspired choker.  It has a dangle that looks like a boat helm and the other dangles have stars at the ends. Its hard to see in the picture but there are gold sequins on the black band that kinda make a bow pattern. (I don't take very good pictures, sorry)

And then she sent a little extra that the DH and I were so excited about!  After much researching on Clarity's part she created me my very own letter of Marque!

Complete with a wax seal!

For those of you that don't know, in Ye olde pyrate days it was not unusual for a king/queen or someone of influence to give a pyrate a letter of Marque that allowed them to "pyrate".  So long as they gave a portion of their booty to the said contractor.
They were no longer pyrates but Privateers in "legitimate employ". One famous example is Sir Francis Drake, who was a privateer on behalf of England and solely attacked Spanish ships.

So now I am a privateer in the employ of Their Excellencies of the Captain's Council  free to attack and acquire all that I deem  Enemies of the Council and Her Grace, The Lady of the Open Water.  Wink

I can't wait to show my letter off at the next renfaire , and I shall frame it as soon as I find a frame worthy of such contents.

I thank you, your Grace, for bestowing upon me such lavish treasures and your permission to go a-pyratin'. (insert deep curtsey)  Grin

My niece is always borrowing them from me. Don't worry I get them back the very next day.  And then I wear them because I missed them! Grin

So pleased you liked it all Anya Kase (great action shots) ... and may yer sword be as sharp as yer wit damsel (nothing can stop her now!)

Curtsey returned with a blown kiss.

And that dear ladies is the end of our swap, (except for an addendum from someone in future (Nasty_wench) I shall say no more Wink )

Thank you everyone for joining and I am going to work on that montage soon... it has been ... lovely.

Peace,

x
