Oooooooooooh, you have no idea how much I love this thing. It's my first color knitting and I'm really proud of it. It's pretty much an improvised pattern and a semi-borrowed (modified one that already existed) chart; I'll post it if anyone's interested. What do you think?
Also, NO, it is NOT in a dinner plate. That's the top of my laundy bin, for lack of a better background.

Sweeet! You did an AWESOME job! As someone who's knitted her fair share of DS cases, I can tell you, you did a really good job lol.

I wish I'd thought of this! I've knit something like 10 DS cases since I started knitting six months ago and haven't really done anything Nintendo related on any of them.

You have inspired me! Maybe I can pull off some Tetris blocks....

Ooh! Cute idea! I might start on a chart for that!

I love it! It's hard to get my son to wear my knitting, but if I make that on so wrist warmers I know he'll wear them.  Great idea!

The basic pattern I used was to use size US 6 and cast on 34. Just knit in st. stitch for about 5 inches. Then use US 5 and knit in an odd k2p2 ribbing (there will be 4 knits together where the seam is) for about an inch or more. Then seam.
When I worked the chart, I knitted 4 rows of st. stitch and started the chart 1 stitch away from the starting edge.
