I am currently in the Givers/Needers Swap Rd. 3 and ghilie sent me a wonderful package.  I got the package yesterday morning and by this afternoon have this to show for it. A felted wristlet!  This is my first felted item and although it's not perfect, it's definitely a start.  All I have left is to sew the side seams up and it will be ready to go.  I worked it up in a single crochet last night and then felted it with a load of towels this morning before work.

Thanks, ghilie!  Because of you, this new foray into felting is possible!

I used the brown yarn she sent me for the body and the red yarn she sent me for the accents.  (I know it looks gray-ish on my desk, but it really is brown.)  It is a prototype for an idea I had for a swap and I will be modifying it a bit to suit the needs of my partner.  BTW, this only used about 1/2 the skein of yarn to make.  Talk about economical!

Here's the post with all the stuff she sent me in it.

It really did turn out nice, ghilie.  I'm fairly impressed with how consistent it is.  I just need to work on my consistency while I'm crocheting and it should be a match made in heaven!

Such a cute wristlet!  I love anything brown, and I adore felted bags.  It is just another project that my lack of crochet/knitting ability prevents me from doing Sad
