This project was inspired by two items that I feel are totally different - a Beatles calendar and a tin lunchbox I bought in middle school. Sadly I do not have a before picture of the lunchbox, but let me tell you, it was horrible. It said "Princess of Everything" on it and was bright pink with a crown. I don't know what I was thinking when I spent $20 on it... The calendar was my boyfriends and when the year was over I couldn't let him discard it because of the great pictures.
After a few months I finally came upon both items and realized the lunchbox could be saved. I cut out my favorite pictures, then went to work cutting out little pieces of paper in different colors to make a border. Then I used one of my favorite products, Mod Podge, to attach the pictures and paper pieces to the lunchbox. A few hours later this was the result.

I'm really happy with how it turned out, and wish I had more lunchboxes like this to put pictures on.

I wasn't sure if this was the right forum, so mods feel free to move it if it needs to be somewhere else.

That is quite possibly the coolest lunch box ever.  Grin

oh, I LOVE the back with the Sgt. Pepper pic!  What a great way to reuse an old calendar!  I may have to do this with an old lunchbox I have kicking around, and the Queen calendar I've been recycling by putting it on months that line up properly with the month it currently is, hehe.

So cool!! Love, love, *love* it!! I will never look at tin lunchboxes the same way again. Yay. Another project for my to-do list!

thanks everyone! I'm glad I came up with something that can help those  (like me) who save everything cool (or everything in general!) just in case a project comes up!
Have fun with it and I would love to see what some more decoupaged lunchboxes.

The worst part of this is that I bought my metal lunchboxes so I could decorate them and give them as gifts... now I'll want to keep them all! *giggle* I think I'll put off cleaning tonight and make one if I can find my old calendars. Wink
