So, this is my 1st official quilt. I made one In Jan,, but it was a quilt kit from Jo annn's. I brought the Fabric on Aug 2nd. And just finished a few days ago. Lots of frustrations! And broken needles. I even stepped on a needle backwards.
This is for my toddler. The binding is the worst. I bound the long sides 2 times, then ripped them out and just did it by machine stitching, then hand sewing the other side. And when I quilted it, I had to keep the feed dogs up, or it would not work. I think I have to research that for sure. Anyways,, here it is, ::should be 3 pics:: PS. It is crib sized,, I doubt I'll ever make a twin, let alone queen size! Wink

I love it.  Cherries are my favorite fruit and they go so nicely together here.  I hear you about the binding.  It's always the worst part of a quilt for me.

I love the quilt. Sorry you had a difficult time making it.  I would recommend you get a sewing machine tune up/check up, then make sure you aren't using too thick of thread.  I had some problems just like you described and once I got a tune up and then used skinnyer thread I started to enjoy sewig again.  I am sure your daughter will love her quilt.

How cute!  I think it really turned out well, so in the end it was worth all the annoyance in making it, yes?  Very pretty!
