So...  I have had this idea in my head for ages!  I bought 2 of the fabrics about 3 years ago, and I just finished the top today!  I actually only started it on Friday.  Sorry it's only the top, but I do plan on finishing it SOMETIME!  I am afraid my machine won't be big enough to quilt it and I'll have to do it by hand, and with summer coming and no air conditioning...  well, let's just say that would be silly.
We have a whole room in our new house to store all of our YS/Beatles paraphernalia, and it doubles as our guest room.  So I just couldn't have a YS room without the correct bed coverings, now could I??

Enough babbling, here it is...

Each of the fabrics have a different meaning to the movie...
-The Sea of Holes
-Sea of Nothing
-Sea of Green
-Sea of Science
-Sea of Time
-Sea of Monsters

Oh, and I plan to quilt in the Foothills of the Headlands over the entire thing!
something like this for those of you who don't know...

Please, I would love to know what you all think!  Thanks for looking

Wow, your quilt is really cool!
In addition to their meaning, the fabrics work really well together.

I had images from YS on my wall too!  Cheesy

Wow, this quilt is really beautiful.  I hope you used your machine to quilt it!  I have no patience for hand quilting.  Tongue

I love the quilt!

As far as the quilting issue - have you thought about going to a quilt shop and renting time on the long arm?  I'm going to do a queen size and am on the same lines as you that it won't fit in my machine, but I have no intentions of hand quilting that bad boy, either.  I think at my local quilt shop it's something like 99c/square foot which for me works out to around $65.00.  They said they would give me a mini lesson and I'd be off and running in no time!  I guess it's really easy and if it's not outrageous I'm definitely going for it Smiley  Anyway, just a thought for ya so you don't have to roast under it trying to hand quilt...  oh, and I bet the quilt shop would have AC!  Oh!!  Just one more thought, do you know anybody w/ a quilt frame?  if you do decide to hand quilt it, that would be really helpful regardless of the indoor temperature.  It keeps it flat and tight and you can see where you're at.  I think it would make it easier to quilt a design like you've got.

Anyway, still love the quilt Smiley

Haven't seen the movie, but it's a neat quilt.
