good heavens...you are living the dream. I want that room so bad. I just told my boyfriend that if we buy a house together that this is what will become of one of the rooms.

So very bookmarked and pushing This Rocks.

That looks great! The only question I have is, it looks like there was already wood flooring underneath the carpet that could have possibly been sanded and refinished. How come you put laminate over it?
Man, I can't wait to have a house of my own so I can have a craft room as lovely as this Smiley

Yea, I updated the entry to include an explanation for this - but the wood flooring underneath the carpet is softwood - not hardwood.  I NEVER shy away from hard, long, or tedious work.  The problem is that softwood is not suitable as flooring. It is used as subflooring, so we either needed to lay hardwood, laminate or carpet again.  I thought something hard would be better than carpet in a craftroom and for resale.  Someone looking at our house later will think of this as a second bedroom rather than a craftroom so I wanted them to think that putting down an area rug in THEIR OWN taste would be good rather than inheriting a (from their perspective) questionable rug from us.

Hardwood wasn't in the budget. Laminate was hard, pretty enough, and the right price!

Oh my gosh. I'm so ridiculously jealous of your craftroom.
It's beautiful.

Oh, I don't know anything about flooring. Smiley My mom recently redid floor the living room in her house, but we had cement underneath our carpet and she had it installed so I didn't have annnnything to do with it hah. When I get a house, I'm sure I'll want to rip up any carpet it has so I'll have to learn about it eventually. And when my fiance and I do buy our house, you know I'll be coming back to this page as inspiration Smiley So fantastic!

i'm...completely speechless. It's so bright and creative looking! We're about to remodel the upstairs so I can have a place to work/craft and this is a huge inspiration. I hope the rest of the house came out just as stunning.

I love personal swaps! I always need fabric, findings/notions, and cute handmade things!
