I just got my first tattoo and I have seen them posted on craftster before...not sure which section....

Anyway, I have wanted a tattoo for about 20 years. 10 years ago I decided on a dragonfly after a dragonfly landed on me during a circle pagan ritual. However, I did not know where to put it or what it should look like.

Then 2 weeks ago I was on ebay looking at fabric and came across a Moda dragonfly fabric and Boom - was hit with lightening - that was the dragonfly feel that I wanted. The fabric had three different dragonflies on it and I liked different aspects of each - and wanted something original, as well.

So, I ordered the fabric in several colors and researched tattoo artists. The fabric came in the mail and I met with a tattoo artist who's work I liked. He drew out a unique tat using the fabric as a guide and I then tweaked it to make it more feminine and more me. Then color choices....

Let me know what you think...oh, and I took photos of the whole process.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW!! -- What a Ride! -- Anonymous

It seems that different people have an idea of what I am, and what I should be. And then there's me.
