My friend's abandonment pressie is now finished; I have just done the last part. She has a perchant for these baby pens you get from Paperchase (they are about 4" high) so rather than just giving her loose pens, I thought i would make her a holder for them.

Behold the small, red, wonder...

[Sorry, I am just so happy when my camera takes a decent macro photo, it had to go first]. Anyhoo, I digress. Why a wonder? Well, I am always amazed when I make something with no pattern or instructions whatsoever. This is the back, with the black velvet ribbon ties.

I was given a similar one for my brushes years ago, so I thought about how that was laid out and made a baby version. This one gives you an idea on the size of the pens she likes. I cut the pencils to size and then re-sharpened to fit.

The black fabric came from Hobby Lobby (I think) in Kinsgport, TN/VA borders. The red fabric came from Hobby Craft in Crayford. Its a very international item.

I hope you like it. All feeback, comments are most appreciated.  Grin

Happy viewing and happy crafting. Grin
