I just discovered this great store in Leonia, NJ.  It's called The Craft Lounge, and it's full of beautifully handcrafted goodies -- barrettes, jewelry, handspun yarn, pottery, kids clothes, stuffed animals, soaps -- all sorts of stuff.  And the back of the store is a crafter's studio.  The girls that run the shop are really fun, and they're into all sorts of crafts.  They're planning on teaching tons of craft workshops, starting in September.  They're located at 324 Broad Ave. in Leonia.  Here's their website if you'd like to check them out: www.thecraftlounge.com.

Best,

Jen B.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but just saw your post.  Yeah, I went to their opening.  They're not very focused on what they are doing in my opinion. But then again, maybe I'm not their target market.  The hours they are open are erratic and the classes they offer seem to be mostly for beginners.

They have a few things for sale, an apron or two and zipper pouches but nothing much else. They sell neither craft supplies or fabric, which would have been nice. I put my name on their mailing list and the only communication I ever received from them was to sell me crafts I already make myself.  It's a nice space in a good location with plenty of available parking nearby.

I was hoping it would be a place for "craft people" in North Jersey to gather and share.  I'm way beyond "beginner" and was hoping there would be classes for me too.
