I made this green jersey sun-dress from scratch to wear on a recent vacation--I even hand-sewed the waist tie and straps on in the airport! Smiley

The front:

The back (the tie is obviously twisted, ignore; also, the dress may or may not be lopsided--I was standing at an angle and I'd measured everything twice, but I'm a self-taught sewing novice):

And I made this blue swim-suit cover-up (started as a dress, but was too short!) based on a top from Forever21, the picture for which I've lost. It was the same though, only purple, lavender, and cream.

Front of my version:

Back of my version:

(It is generally not off-center like that in the back, I just threw it on for the picture and wasn't paying attention to see that I didn't have it on straight.)

Comments/constructive criticisms welcome!

The cover-up is gorgeous! The dress is very cute. Did you use a pattern for either?

I realize that this is a ridiculously old post, but I got here through threadbanger, and I was wondering if you had some sort of pattern for the green dress? or did u just kind of wing it?
