I don't usually bake. I'm more of a sewer than a baker, but everybody's bound to try their first fondant cake sometime. I followed the easy MM recipe from that one website and found it incredibly easy to work with. After a bunch of kneading, a mess of powdered sugar and cramping mixing, I came up with this.

The main fondant is marbled plain MM fondant and MM fondant with 2tbs. of strong brewed coffee. (Yes, it flavors and colors at the same time!) The gray webbing thing was just a fun experiment with gel coloring and play-dough happy time.

I'm so new to this that I forgot to describe what's UNDER the fondant. haha. It's a mocha cake that's cooked stove top (Yes, you read right. With the right cookware, yes.) And I used coffee buttercream. I basically used the generic chocolate cake and buttercream recipes and spiked it up with strong brewed coffee. Much like what I did to the marbled fondant. I'm glad you guys like this! Too bad I had to leave for four days right after I made this so I just had to throw it away when I came back. I'm for sure going to try this again. Most likely for my birthday in 2 weeks.
