elisegreene, I am having the same problem. I also want to try and send something I have that's a little, less well known so hopefully it will be new to my partner. I think that's going to be the biggest challenge!

I don't think many people have heard of my favorite film, but it's not that hard to figure out if you know about it!

Oh! This swap sounds amazing! I really want to do this one, but I'm in the middle of my first swap, and can't! UGh! I'm hoping there is another one of these at a later time!

I am also having a selection problem :] I don't want to send something too well known, or something thats been out for a couple of years because there's the chance my partner may have it... I'll figure something out. There are a couple useful things about being the daughter to the movie queen.

I have been watching this thread since it opened and have been waiting for someone to ask this question:

"Don't ya mean 'Make a Buddy Movie swap' not 'Make a Movie Buddy Swap'?"

Is there movie making involved?

I HAD to ask.The anticipation was too much.  Grin

Nope, because in this case 'movie' is an adjective describing what kind of buddy, not a noun. So she's basically saying "make a buddy" but in this case it's a "movie buddy" instead of, say, a "fisherman buddy" or "knitting buddy".  Wink

Now if it were "make a buddy movie" then we'd be making a movie about buddies, because then buddy would be the adjective describing the type of movie.

Cheesy Incredibly thorough haroldlovesmaude, and I have heard of your favorite movie, I have just never seen it. Since it's older, none of the movie rental places around here have ever had it.. I did pick up a used copy of the book the other day.. It's in my stack of things to read though.. LOL.
