Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No (however there are specific regions to DVDs so we have to ensure that we send movies to people that they will be able to play, see map of regions for reference)

Details of swap:

Each person in this swap will send their partner a DVD of their favorite movie (or one of their favorites) craft an item that is inspired by something in that particular movie and send their partner a box/bag of candy or a bag of popcorn depending on their partner’s preference.

You will be crafting 1 medium item (or 2 small items) for this swap... If you would like to exceed the swap requirements then you will have to communicate with your swap partner concerning this.
Like I said this is going to be a quick and easy swap. Delivery confirmation is required if sending within the US, if sending internationally then you must send me a picture of your receipt as verification.

Please put the name of the swap in all PMs to me/the co-organizer, so we are sure not to miss anyone. Also, please send copies of all PMs to me to the co-organizer (once we get one!) as well.

ALSO BE SURE TO READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN UP!!!***Also since this is particularly relevant to this swap: There are no circumstances under which a burned DVD will be acceptable to send to your partner, only ORIGINAL DVDs, if you plan on sending one without it’s original case, you NEED TO CLEAR THIS WITH YOUR PARTNER BEFORE SENDING, as there are a lot of people sending original DVDs in their original cases!!! Burned DVDs will result in negative feedback REGARDLESS of other factors (i.e. sending on time, satisfying swap requirements) because they VIOLATE ONE OF THE SWAP RULES SET BY CRAFTSTER see the swap FAQ specifically question #14 concerning what is not allowed in a swap package.

I'm really excited about this swap! The only thing is, I would want the movie my partner sends to be a surprise but I own a TON of movies. I would also be kind of bummed if I was sent a movie I already own.. (because most of the ones on my 'want' list are kind of pricey.. i.e. why I don't already own them, haha)

I know what you mean. My mom is somewhat of a DVD collector so she has over 500 DVDs... Luckily there are a lot of newish releases that i want so I'll probably send in a form later. I'm just too lazy to do it right now... (I'm in the middle of a movie marathon and i stopped to check my email and got sidetracked. :])

the top 5 is just if your partner looks at your top 10 and thinks "what the heck am I going to send this person!" Also once you guys are partnered up, you can link them to a page with your collection on it, to sort of avoid getting a duplicate. I did mine through DVDAF, but there is also a way to do it through librarything and amazon.

I think that's something that needs to be figured out with your partner. Personally I prefer used items, because I try to buy as little new as possible (for money and environmental reasons), but there may be someone who is only comfortable receiving new DVDs. But like I said, that can be between you and your partner.. I can't imagine anyone having a problem receiving a good condition used DVD.. The ones I buy are still in their original cases and are in like new quality, so I don't see a problem with them.
