HI im new, first post woo.

I searched to see if anyone had posted a similar recipie but couldnt find one. Anyway.

A cake that actually takes 5 minutes. If you have 5 minutes now, get up and do it =D

5 Minute Microwave Chocolate Cake

You Need:

4 Tablespoons   Plain Flour
4 Tablespoons   Caster Suger (5 for granulated suger)
2 Tablespoons   Coco Powder
3 Tablespoons   Milk
3 Tablespoons   Vegitable or Nut Oil
1                    Egg
Pinch of Rising Agent

Dont be put off by the word Microwave, this is one fluffy cake.

1. Mix the Flour, Suger, Coco & Rising Agent in either a Large Mug or a bowl.

2. Add the Egg.

3. Add the Oil.

4. Pop in Microwave (not covered) for 3 minutes (high power). However put some kitchen roll or something underneath it, this thing rises like a souffle.

5. Laugh at how easy this cake is.

6. After the *ping* wait a few seconds and enjoy the cake =D

We actually saw this post 10 min. ago & now are enjoying warm cake!!! It is quite dense, but still tastes delicious. Thanx for sharing the recipe!

Wow. I tried this last night after looking up various other microwave cake recipes, and was pleasantly surprised. All the OTHER recipes showed pictures of a very tiny, deflated, dense cake sitting in a mug... Mine was huge and fluffy and much darker than any of theirs, although that last part might relate to the type of cocoa I used.

Definitely more than a one person serving, and great with whipped cream. My only complaint is that I added some chocolate chips into the batter, and they all sunk to the bottom. Wouldn't try that again.

Just tried this, very interesting.
For some reason, it didn't seem very sweet to me, or very chocolaty.
I think next time I might add vanilla and maybe some salt.
Otherwise, I learned that you can sort of make buttercream (ish) frosting in a measuring cup with a whisk if the butter is practically melting in the dish, as it has been since, oh, the end of June.
Tasty, though.

About 20 mins ago I really wanted some cake, none in the house and the boy wouldnt go buy me any. Then I stumbled across this thread and had to try it. Now we are both sitting with empty bowls after making one each and gobbling them up really fast. Craving 110% satisfied Cheesy

As I was making it, and as I am now eating it, I'm having serious flashbacks.  I think my aunt used to make this for me when I was a kid!  I had no recollection of it until I started mixing it all up in my big ol' mug.

It's pretty good- I had some extra canned frosting in the fridge so I put some on top while it was still hot and let it melt!  Yum!!
