Thanks for the compliments - unfortunately when I gave them to Meghan she wasn't at all keen on having them on her hands!!  She's only 2, I guess...

Bisque - I didn't get the french knot instructions on the pattern!  How I cursed - I was so close and yet so far from finishing!  I used another embroidery book I had which had waaay better instructions.  I don't have it with me now, but if you're still having trouble google for a FK instruction - there's bound to be like a trillion out there!

and how are the dpn's going?  it's it great when you finally get them on to straights?!  when I got to that point I did them both at the same time (using 2 balls of yarn), and same with the mouths.

I googled "french knot instructions" and i got a great link to a site on ehow.com--this site seems to have sweet instructions on a lot of different embroidery stitches with extremely clear visual and written instructions. just thought someone could probably use this info!
