I am half way through making little jungle stuffies for my daughter's play mat (you know the ones with the bit that arches over and has toys hanging from it?) Well, I didn't like the toys already on it, so I'm making my own!

lion

monkey

elephant

giraffe

Still got a zebra and a croc to go! Nearly there!  Smiley

They are all great, the lion is my fave. Home made toys are always better - they have more meaning and character  Smiley

They are all just adorable.
I love that little monkey!!

I am concerned about the use of plastic googly eyes on a small child's toy.  Even when they are securely glued on, they can always be yanked off by the determined hands of a facinated tot.  Maybe felt eyes would be a safer choice?  I think it would still look awesome!

LOVE your bug mobile too!

thanks! the eyes are very, very securely sewn on instead of glued but thanks for the concern, i might have a play with them and sew felt eyes on instead.  Smiley
