I made these in January/February as a gift for my boyfriend's mother.  I was meeting his parents for the first time and wanted to give her something nice.  It was a great gift because (1) she crochets, and (2) she loves flowers.

I searched high and low for 3-dimensional flower patterns and couldn't find any, so I had to make these up.  They aren't perfect, but considering I had only learned to crochet the December prior... I think they turned out quite nice.

I have the patterns written for all of them except the stargazer lily.  I could probably write one up if anyone was interested in it.  I won't post the patterns here, but you can pm me if there is a specific one you'd like.   Grin

Now, for pictures!

Tulip - Outside (before stem)

Tulip - Inside (before stem)

Calla Lily

Daisy (before wiring and before stem... the only photo I took of the daisy! Oops!)

Stargazer Lily (my pride and joy gets two photos!)

They were all top-heavy, especially the stargazer, so I put them in a vase full of those flattened beads... blue and white.  I had to fill it nearly to the top to get them to at least look alive.  Grin  Thanks for looking!!!

They look reallyy great. If you make these again though and you want them to stand up straight you can crochet around a medium thickness wire, which should give you the support you need to keep them from flopping around as much.

-I give up on making TOL pendants.  If anyone would like to have my stone chips, wire and ect.  I would gladly trade it all for some knitting/crochet stuff.

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.

Ah, thanks for all the compliments everyone.

@ Liberry Booked - Thanks for the suggestion!  You know, I hadn't even thought of that... lol  I suppose even a skinny wooden dowel would work in the stems too, huh?  Thanks so much.  I will definitely remember this if I make these again!

@missmoppet and Kookaloo_Starr - The stargazer is my favorite; they are my favorite flowers.  My boyfriend kinda thought I was nuts when I said I wanted to try it.  He was all supportive for the other three, but for this one... he wasn't so sure.  I think I kind of shocked myself, too!
