Halloo all!
I made this cuff for nataluna for the I love Buttons swap. I pretty much winged it, but the result is my largest completed embroidery project to date! Grin It's made on linen with a copper wire frame. I had been wanting to try an embroidered cuff, and  Nataluna and I both love rainbows, so this was an easy choice to make.

This is what the frame looks like underneath all that thread.

Also Nataluna took some really awesomely clear pictures of the stitches if anyone is interested (and cares to ooh and ahhh over the awesome Button gallery)

I would love any sort of feedback!

You can really appreciate the embroidery in the shot with the bracelet flat. It turned out beautiful. Smiley

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

THIS IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL.  IT ROCKS!  Where did you get the frame?  It is flat; does it bend easily?  Is the back lined with the fabric?

Wow thanks everyone! I made the frame first, which is sturdy yet flexible copper wire, made a light outline on the linen to follow by and played around. It took me about ten hours I would say. Then I eyeballed the amount of linen I would need to sew around the wire and then sew back on to itself on the inside of the cuff, if that makes sense. On the inside you can't see any of the threading it's just linen I stitched together. It's kind of ragged and not so elegant on the inside, which is something I want to improve upon, which is why I didn't take a picture of it. Thanks for your lovely comments!

Gorgeous! I embroidered some very simple text for a swap the other day after years of not doing anything like it and struggled through the whole thing. I cannot even imagine attempting a project like this...I bow to your stitching prowess, k-roc, you are the queen bee of embroidery!!!
