I've been invited to a birthday potluck brunch for a great gal that I don't know all that well.  She's the friend of a friend who I've enjoyed quite a bit when we are at the same place at the same time.  She absolutely really truly doesn't want gifts and I don't cook.  After talking it over with our mutual good friend (who is a good cook and my "date") I decided to bring a few sparkling fruit juices, because the birthday girl doesn't drink and I just can't go empty handed as a guest in someone's home, ya' know?  Anyway, I made these little bottle decorations just to make them more special and festive.  Well, also because I wanted to make her a little something, but I wanted to comply with her wish for no gifts.

All 3:

A couple close-ups:

Hopefully she can reuse them either when she brings a bottle somewhere or as bookmarks or something.

Such a cute idea! These ties really make the bottles shine. Great thinking.

What a cute idea  Smiley I sometimes make the fabric bottle bags too as they always look good.  You can hot glue flowers to ribbon to decorate too. did you wrap the bottles with paper or give as is?
the turned out cute and she can use them for her scrapbook if she saves them for keepsakes to dress up her photos.
i am scrapbook mad at the moment so all these ideas pop into my head lol handmade fabric flowers would look great in scrapbooks or on journals was the first thing i thought.
Thanks for posting the photo and giving me some  inspiration!  Grin
well done. cyndiq

Thanks, JLMS!

cyndiq - Thanks!  They are in my fridge right now and will be given tomorrow, but I'm planning to just go as-is with them.  I don't know if she scrapbooks, but she does a lot of collage, so maybe she can use one or more of them that way.  However she reuses/repurposes them is great by me.  I don't think she's the type who would just throw them out, knowing that I made them for her.

Those are so adorable, and a cute idea. Smiley

There are all sorts of variations that could be done also.
