Not Yo' Mama's Banana Soap - Inspired by Paula Deen

This is my first post in the Bath and Beauty section, I think. Anyway, I just haaave to share my favorite soap I've made so far. It's inspired by Paula Deen's recipe "Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding"

Made with a melt and pour (sshhhh!) shea butter base; I added apricot seeds (for exfoliation and decoration), and it has a banana and vanilla scent. It smells just like banana pudding! And it looks like a chessmen cookie - 'cause that's what Paula tops her puddin' with.  I love it!

I sprinkled apricot seeds on the edges of my rectangle mold, poured in the soap and also sprinkle apricot seeds into a chess-piece candy mold and soap base followed that.  After they'd both hardened, I melted a little bit of soap to use like "glue" and affixed the chess piece on top of the rectangle bar. Voila! Super neat and super delicious smelling soap. Yummmm.

I remember that one   Hehe thats such a great idea.  You should send Paula Deen some and tell her about how you got the idea.  I bet she would love it and talk about it on the show.

Add me to the Paula Deen worshipers. Being a Southern girl myself, I appreciate anyone who wraps bread sticks in bacon. 

That is a neat soap mold! I really the soap itself, and the scent sounds dreamy. I'd be down with smelling banana pudding in the shower!
