I've been a cross-stitcher for many years, but embroidery always scared me- I didn't think I could stitch evenly. But I finally got over my anxiety and made this embroidery for my...husband.  Yeah, he may be a grown man, but he still tries to get out of eating his veggies at dinner.  I plan on putting this very intimidating pirate carrot in our dining room.

I know my lettering needs work, but overall I'm pleased with how this turned out.

That's fabulous!  I think you've done a great job.

I'm thinking that my sister should use your idea and maybe paint that something aong that line on  the window at the daycare she works at...it would be fabulous for their Pirate Week!!!

Ha!!!!  I love The Carrot Pirate!!!  Are you going to make more pirate veggies?  I started embroidering a Psychotic Tomato (with a huge cleaver) kitchen towel as a XMas present, but, yeah, I didn't finish it.

That is so freakin' cool.  I wish I was more imaginative to think of things like that.  Sublime Stitching as a great 'veggie' pattern that would make more awesome veggie pirates!  Great!
