After seeing crafty_dame's post [link below] and beautiful necklaces, I knew I had to try it!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=149526.msg1480309#msg1480309

So I did it yesterday, its not hard at all and produces, really nice results. Plus its something you can pick up and put down. I started it after dropping off my car to get something that was recalled replaced and finished it after I picked up my car. Overall it doesn't take a lot of time, but then again I used pretty dang big beads, no seed beads for me!

Since you string the beads on first I ended up with less "chain" so its a bit tighter around my neck that I prefer, but oh well, the next one will be better! I used black crochet cotton, recycled black and white beads and an old clasp and extender chain off a broken necklace.

On to the pictures!

that's really beautiful! I really like the bigger beads, and the black and white combo.
