i'll begin by saying i'm not a painter, but i wish i were.  i used a photo editor to take a picture and reduce it to 2 colors, then i copied it in acrylic, light and dark violet.

here's the original photo:

the images aren't really mirrored, i had to take the finished project pic with my webcam-hence the poor quality.

hey that is such a cool idea! I love it! what type of acrylics did you use? Did you just paint it on a canvas? VERY neat. i would hang that up for sure!

it is on canvas, with mid-quality art store acrylic, i can't remember the brand.
