I've been thinking ahead for Christmas presents and I've made a bunch of these bookthongs that are very simple, easy and fun to make. The most fun part was deciding which beads to match with the ribbon colour!

and a closeup of the beads

Very fun, simple way to use up those beads that are one-of's too!

Good idea, great way to use up the randoms left over from bigger projects! This would be a good project for a class too.

These are cool.  They would be great attached to homemade journals.

Momma2FIVEgirls, I agree these would be great for class projects. My kids (I have 3 girls and 1 boy) were diving into this project with me like no tomorrow. Mostly the girls but my boy showed alot of interest as well.

ladyquestra, great idea for attaching them to homemade journals! I know what my next project is going to be....  Grin
