Hi, everyone!

A job transfer has landed us in the Heart of it ALL, but I can't find the heart of Ohio for crafty type things.

Does anyone know of craft malls in the Dayton/Xenia area?

Thanks!

This isn't looking good.   Shocked  Wink  Are there any good trade papers that may point me in the direction of craft places?

Hi, i don't know of any specific places for you to check out, but if you're still looking then Yellow Springs is probably a good place to try.

You might look at Waynesville, which is not too far from Xenia, south on 42.    Others have recommended the Fabric Shack, but I have not visited yet.

I was going to recommend the Stitching Post in Centerville, but just saw that they are closing.  You may want to check out their closing sale. http://stitchingpostsale.com/

What kind of crafts? Everything is pretty much spread out around here.

Sew-A-Lot in Centerville http://sites.where2getit.com/viking/sewalot/index.cgi

Factory Direct Supply in Franklin http://factorydirectcraft.com/

Michaels, Hobby Lobby, & Joanns Superstore by the Dayton Mall

The Bead Cage in Kettering http://www.beadcage.net/  (I haven't been here yet)

There is a yarn store in Yellow Springs but I can't remember the name

Fiberworks in Beavercreek http://fiberworksdayton.blogspot.com/ (kinda pricy)

I personally have more luck in thrift stores but I'm cheap  Grin

What type of crafts were you looking for?

There's 'yarns and fabrications' in West Chester ...check out their website for contact info/address http://www.yarnsandfabrications.com/

...& there's a cute yarn shop in Germantown called 'the ball and skein'
