Dotee Doll ROUND TWO Gallery

I received from jenicat today.  She's a cute little orange slice.  Very creative!



Also, I failed to post a picture of the dotee I received from ma rut.  It's also very creative.  She saw that I like the movie "Steel Magnolias," so she made me a little magnolia blossom.



You guys are very artistic!  I'm humbled.  Thanks to both of you.

My gang of dotees is on their way to their new homes!  Was hilarious bringing them across the border to mail them.  I left the envies unsealed until I reached the post office in case the customs dude wanted to check.  And he did.  I let him choose an envie to open, and showed him the doll - he looked so confused and asked me if it was to hang on a rear view mirror.  Of course the one he chose was the one for Lmcbride, which is probably the most unusual one in the bunch.
Sad fact: I would have cost me $50 to mail those 6 wee dotees from my home in Canada.  It cost me $11 to mail them from Michigan (including the 2 going TO Canada!).

I got my second dotee in the mail yesterday, but was a bit to sick for a photo shoot, so here we are today with lovely Maid Etoile from TAOJ:





She has the cutest curly pig-tails and glitter thread eyes! Thanks TAOJ!

Mine are also super simple and I worry that I'm not getting the whole dotee vibe. I am enjoying the process and the swapping and of course, I LOVE receiving.  But you'll see from my too-long letter (that is included in the envelope) - what I thought I would make and what I actually could make are two very different things, ha ha.

Have a nice relaxing weekend all. Will be running to mailbox tomorrow and Monday for sure.

Oh, and I am starting my Round 3 dotees, tomorrow night, as soon as last two are sent tomorrow morning, because there will be a Round 3, right?
